Senior Portfolio Manager

Job DescriptionThe RoleJoining a new and fast-growing division of Canopius, helping build a market-leading Portfolio Solutions offering globally. The role will include highly technical portfolio analysis and underwriter (and some client) engagement. Building and maintaining new, innovative portfolio products within profitable guidelines and regulations, facilitating underwriting activities and programmes that are of high standard and compliant with Canopius’s governance. Key to the role will be to drive the data strategy and intelligence gathering from CPS and disseminate this into the wider Group.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop Portfolio Analytics across the divisionDrive insights into CPS business and develop high-quality, regular reporting and monitoring of all contractsMonitor loss ratios and profitability of portfolios, regularly monitor actual and expected pricing experience, and work with stakeholders to build and deliver key performance indicator reportsAssess underwriting guidelines, conduct monthly monitoring of contracts, and disseminate information and intelligence to the wider open market underwriting teamsAct as a technical expert internally, representing the division in all internal mattersSeek new opportunities and explore collaboration internally with innovative insightsEnsure all work conducted is in line with company policies and with high-quality documentationPlan and organize own work, maintaining a high level of communication within the teamFoster a positive culture in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentSkillsQualified Actuary with a commercial focus and pricing exposureDetailed understanding of Portfolio Underwriting and AnalyticsStrong data and analytics background with the ability to lead and develop strategy and be at the forefront of a fast-developing new marketplaceClient-focused with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levelsOur BenefitsWe offer all employees a comprehensive benefits package that focuses on their whole wellbeing.
