There is a strong focus on supportingindividuals’ lives in a person centred way which includes variousactivities, shopping, managing own budgets and cooking. We tailorour services to enable people to be as independent aspossible.We use a digital social care record system, tosupport daily recording, which will make your day-to-day taskseasier and allows you to spend more time with the People WeSupportShift PatternsThisis a 24-hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You willbe working a range of shifts including nights and someweekends.Role ResponsibilityWhat will I bedoing?This is ahands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties willinclude:supporting adults with learningdisabilities, autism, communication difficulties and challengingbehavioursupporting people with a personcentred approachproviding and assisting people wesupport with personal caresupporting a full range of dailyactivities at home and accessing the communitysupporting people to be asindependent as possible and have control over theirlivesinvestingtime with people we support, understanding the most effective wayto deliver positive support and improve person’s quality oflifedeliveringoutcome focused support to improve skills, develop person interestsand increase person independenceensuring accurate recording keepingand documentation is maintain at required standards to enableeffective reviewing of persons support to develop actions plan tohelp improve all aspects of a person’s lifeThe Ideal CandidateWhat skills and qualities do I need tohave?You shouldhave the right attitude and transferable experience of helpingpeople to manage anxiety. Knowledge of learning disabilities andcomplex needs would be beneficial.
